Society Local Rules for Mar Menor Golf Resort Only

Rule 1

Situation: Ball lies as follows:

near an ornamental plant which interfers with the swing
on an irrigation pipe
lies on an area covered in bark
on a buggy or sprinkler head

Action: Free drop within one club length from the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole.

Rule Two

Situation: Swing or stance interference by tree or rock

Action: Play the ball as it lies or declare the ball as unplayable (rule 28) and take a one stroke penalty and either:

1. drop the ball within two club lengths from the original ball position not nearer the hole or,

2. stroke and distance or,

3. drop as far as you wish behind the point where the ball lay keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped.
